He will then trace how sociology has maintained its commitment to this coloniality of knowledge into the present day, and conclude by arguing for a sociology which stresses temporal, conceptual, and spatial links, advocating for a pluriversal sociology.<\/p>\n<p>Ali Meghji is an Associate Professor in Social Inequalities at the Department of Sociology, University of Cambridge. He is the chair of \u2018Decolonizing Sociology @ Cambridge\u2019 and the editor-in-chief of Sociology Compass. To date he is the author of Decolonizing Sociology and The Racialized Social System: Critical Race Theory as Social Theory published by Polity Press.
