We uncover how such assumptions frame climate action and to what extent they are sufficiently suited for acting upon today\u2019s crisis.<\/p>\n<p>By using concrete examples, we will introduce how decisions at political level are influenced by economics through the lens of a socio-economic analysis. We will highlight what is given the status of importance \u2013 and more importantly what is not. How are nature, well-being, biodiversity, clean drinking water and future generations valued in calculations meant to inform live-changing political decisions?<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we will introduce valuable tools from ecological economics that are already gaining ground both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The participants will gain an insight into:<br \/>\nHow mainstream economics functions as a barrier for climate action<br \/>\nWhich assumptions and methods are actively influencing climate politics<br \/>\nHow ecological economics is essential in assisting a green and just future<\/p>\n<p>The event is a STIMULUS event.
