In my presentation, I would like to explore whether a post-national democracy in the second sense would be sufficiently vigorous. It will be seen that the relation between democracy and solidarity is decisive for answering this question.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program and Introduction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction by professor, centre leader Hanne Petersen, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPost-national Europoean democracy\u201d by Professor of Legal Philosophy Alexander Somek, Faculty of Law, University of Vienna<\/li>\n<li>Q and\u00a0A session, chair Professor, centre leader Hanne Petersen, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alexander Somek has been Professor of Legal Philosophy at the Institut of Legal Philosophy at the University of Vienna School of Law science August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Somek held the Charles E. Floete Chair in Law at the University of Iowa College of Law until July 31, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>His major areas of research are public law and legal philosophy. Alexander Somek is currently interested in exploring the nature of legal knowledge. In addition, he also tries to understand why the law constitutes a particular relation among people.<\/p>\n<p>Sandwich will be served.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar is part of a series of Solidarity seminars called \u201cSolidarity and Opportunities in Europe\u201d offered by CECS in Fall 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration:<\/strong> For participation in the event please use this <a
