Jack Zipes<\/strong> (University of Minnesota) is an folklorist\u00a0who has published and lectured on the subject of\u00a0fairy tales, their evolution, and their social and political role in civilizing processes and will talk on Ernst Bloch under the title Writing Daydreams with Hope.<\/em><\/p>\n Ranjana Khanna<\/strong> (Duke University) is a literary critic recognized for her interdisciplinary,\u00a0feminist and internationalist contributions to the fields of post-colonial studies and political philosophy. Khanna will present a lecture under the title The Art of \u00a0Unbelonging.<\/em><\/p>\n Carol Mavor<\/strong> (University of Copenhagen) is a\u00a0writer who takes creative risks in form (literary and experimental) and political risks in content (sexuality, racial hatred, child-loving and the maternal), she has published widely on photography, cinema, colour and childhood and will present under the title Photogen and Nycteris: A Fairy Tale in Light-Writing<\/em><\/p>\n Esther Teichmann<\/strong> (Royal College of Art, London) is a visual artist\/writer who works with photography across still and moving image installations. Teichmann looks at the relationships between loss, desire and the imaginary, slipping between autobiography and\u00a0fiction. Teichmann presentation will be On Sleeping and Drowning.<\/em><\/p>\n Rune Gade<\/strong> (University of Copehagen) is an art historian recognized for his contributions to Danish and international contemporary art, the history and theory of photography, performance, gender theory, feminism and image pornography. Gade will present under the title I\u2019m looking at you (but it\u2019s only a picture so I take that back\u2026)<\/em><\/p>\n Apart from the keynote speaks we will have twelve interesting talks and performances from various artists, writers and students from around the world.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The symposium will be held at the University of Copenhagen, South Campus.
