This is according to a statement released on ku.dk.<\/p>\n<p>While the University will still introduce in 2014 the rules that parliament has passed in the so-called Study Progress Reform, it will introduce “no new rules on study activity or leave”, the statement says. The Rector has dropped specifically, the rule that 45 ECTS points has to passed every year, and the limitations on leave from studies. <\/p>\n<p>“However we will observe study times closely and will pass new initiatives if the University of Copenhagen is not on the right course by 2015,” Rector Ralf Hemmingsen says.<\/p>\n<h2>Student Council welcomes offer<\/h2>\n<p>Students are invited to proffer specific proposals at today Wednesday’s ‘event’ on Frue Plads, referring to<a href=\"http:\/\/universitypost.dk\/article\/paralysis-expected-protesters-target-ucph\" target=\"_blank\"> the planned mass demonstration.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>First comments on Student Council’s facebook hail Rector’s statement as a victory. The Student Council says that it is the body that will negotiate with Rector on its facebook.<\/p>\n<p>“We will of course welcome the offer to negotiate, but look forward to seeing everyone at today’s demonstration.
