","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>Creative Roots, a group of students and alumni from Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at the Faculty of Science, hosted this year’s PARK(ing) Day in Copenhagen, serving coffee, cake, and hygge to students and Copenhageners alike. <\/p>\n<p>A lonely parking spot on Flintholm Alle in Frederiksberg was temporarily transformed into a cosy garden hangout, inviting strangers to meet, take pictures, and share stories. <\/p>\n<p>”Instead of parking cars, we aimed to park people’s curiosity,” Creative Roots says on their website. Their urban design movement aims to challenge and inspire the local community towards ”tactical urbanism” in the enjoyment of their public spaces. <\/p>\n<h2>See the photos<\/h2>\n<p>PARK(ing) Day began as a creative initiative out of San Francisco in 2005, and is all about imagining creative uses for city parking spaces. <\/p>\n<p>This is Creative Roots’ second year hosting the event.
