","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>2012 was the best year ever in terms of paying visitors to the \u00d8resund Aquarium.<\/p>\n<p>The aquarium, a part of University of Copenhagen, is a sea-water aquarium in Helsing\u00f8r, 45 minutes on the coast train from Copenhagen, right next to the sound \u00d8resund, which separates Denmark from Sweden. <\/p>\n<p>In 2012, more than 50,000 people visited the aquarium.<\/p>\n<h2>Smallest, but cosiest<\/h2>\n<p>The aquarium underwent a major renovation in 2006 – the biggest innovation since its opening in 1973 – equipping it with state-of-the-art water filtration systems, giving it the distinction of having the cleanest water in Denmark. <\/p>\n<p>It is open from 10-16 on weekdays and 10-17 on weekends. Students of biology and bioinformatics, as well as University of Copenhagen staff, gain free entrance.
