In 2000, six students of the Department of Computer Science started joking about putting together a band for The Party<\/a>, a computer festival. <\/p>\n

\u00bbBy a strange coincidence one of the event organizers heard about this and booked us before the band<\/a> was formed!\u00ab says Jesper Holm Olsen, one of the guitarists of the band, PRESS PLAY ON TAPE, to the University Post.<\/p>\n

\u00bbWe got together and started playing old Commodore 64\u2019s tunes, and we realized how great it was to hear them played using real instruments\u00ab Jesper adds.<\/p>\n

The Commodore 64 is a thousand times less powerful than a modern computer or smartphone, and is named after its 64 kilobytes of memory. It is the bestselling computer of all time.<\/p>\n

13 years after their first concert, the PRESS PLAY ON TAPE band is still regularly playing together:<\/p>\n

\u00bbWe found a niche which fits our musical ambitions: we have great fun reliving the old days and if anyone likes them too, this is even better!\u00ab one of the guitarists says.<\/p>\n
