There have been cases in \u201cSelf service\u201d at KUnet where one person has obtained access to <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.ku.dk\/news\/uit\/Pages\/error_in_the_self_service_system_on_kunet.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">another person\u2019s data<\/a>. This means that there is a risk for exchange of ballots between voters and proxy voting whereby one person can vote for another person. This of course is in violation with the electoral rules.<\/p>\n<p>The election administration is exploring different technical solutions to conduct elections to take place as quickly as possible. Information about the conduct of the elections will be conveyed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>“University IT is doing its utmost to solve the problems concerning \u201cSelf service\u201d but cannot guarantee that the problem will be solved within a time scope that will enable department councils to be established by 1 April as planned. The Election Office is therefore working to find alternatives to electronic voting”, explains Head of the Election Office, Preben Liljendahl.<\/p>\n<h2>Not all departments affected<\/h2>\n<p>The postponement of the elections only affects those <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.ku.dk\/elections\/newselection2012\/Pages\/department_council_elections_see_who_you_can_vote_for.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">twelve departments where \u201ccontested elections\u201d are to take place<\/a>. There are \u201cuncontested elections\u201d in most departments, often because there are no more candidates than seats in the council.
