see exactly what major companies such as Carlsberg, A.P: M\u00f8ller-Maersk, and Danske Bank pay in corporate tax when the government launches its \u2018open tax lists\u2019 on the internet, reports Seven59.dk and Dr.dk<\/p>\n<p>The Tax Ministry claims the increased transparency will encourage companies to pay more tax, but critics claim it will lead to suspicion, misinformation, and confusion. <\/p>\n<p>Professor Rasmus K. Feldthusen of the University of Copenhagen says that corporation tax is only a minor part of companies\u2019 collective contribution to society. It doesn\u2019t take into account investment, jobs created, and the beneficial effects for suppliers. \u00bbAll things that are positive for society but will appear negative on these tax lists,\u00ab he says.<\/p>\n<h2>Only 1 in 3 paid corporate tax<\/h2>\n<p>Carlsberg\u2019s Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer J\u00f8rn P. Jensen dismissed the lists as a \u2018populist project\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bbIt makes no sense to isolate corporate taxes in this manner,\u00ab he said. \u00bbFor us it\u2019s only part of our collective tax and duty payments.
