","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>It was a team of four pharmaceutical scientists that was fastest of the University of Copenhagen\u2019s DHL teams in 2012. Thursday they, together with the fastest mixed and women\u2019s teams, and one very fast man, got their medals.<\/p>\n<p>The DHL relay is reckoned to be the biggest University of Copenhagen event in terms of numbers of participants. <\/p>\n<p>That win by ChemBiol1 four weeks ago actually took several days, and several disqualifications of other teams, before it was finally confirmed. The post-race dispute about who, in fact, was fastest overall would have needed a higher degree of mathematics and law to decide. <\/p>\n<h2>Women wanted to win<\/h2>\n<p>The original first place turned out to be one phsyicist from the Niels Bohr Institute, and he, of course, got a medal at the ceremony too. A team that ran second place <a href=\"node\/16098\">turned out to have inadvertently skewed the rankings by running three rounds instead of five<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>But all this was forgotten, as the University of Copenhagen\u2019s director J\u00f8rgen Honor\u00e9 and organiser Niels Wollesen gave out the medals to the fastest men: It must be \u00bbsomething to do with the pharmaceuticals,\u00ab said the University of Copenhagen director to them as he gave the ChemBiol1 team their medals.<\/p>\n<p>See <a href=\"node\/16447\">a photo gallery of the ceremony here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fastest women were CHIP1, a team from Copenhagen\u2019s HIV programme, for the second year running: <\/p>\n<p>\u00bbWhen we won last year, we knew we could do it again, and started making a strategy to win,\u00ab one of the runners said to the University Post after they received their medals. Prompted, they added that they thoroughly enjoyed the University Post coverage and pictures.<\/p>\n<h2>From one runner to another<\/h2>\n<p>After the medals to the fastest mix team, \u2018Os fra GL6\u2019, a Health Science team, a prize was given to <a href=\"node\/16115\">that one man from the Niels Bohr Institute, Kim Splittorff, who managed to keep all the other teams, behind him for five long laps. <\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Alone.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bbI can see that Kim is a fast man,\u00ab said J\u00f8rgen Honor\u00e9, himself an enthusiastic morning-runner, as he presented a special prize to him.<\/p>\n<h2>Failed to appear<\/h2>\n<p>Maybe the biggest surprise at the ceremony was that the winners of the trophy for the fastest central administration team, a team from the IT department KIT, failed to appear. <\/p>\n<p>(Updated)<br \/>\nKresten H.
