Students from Danish IT schools and business schools are more likely to start their own business than the University of Copenhagen. This is according to a report from unemployment fund ASE, reported in turn by CBSobserver.dk, that in general praises Danish students for their entrepreneurship. Three out of ten UCPH students want to start their own business.<\/p>\n

The results are based on questionnaires given to 2,600 university students in Denmark: While 56 per cent of students in the Copenhagen-based IT university ITU want to start their own business, only 28 per cent of University of Copenhagen (UCPH) students want to.<\/p>\n

Both students from Roskilde and the Southern Denmark universities are more likely than UCPH students to start their own businesses. <\/p>\n

Recommends state grant SU to entrepreneurs<\/h2>\n

This said, marginally more UCPH students want to start their own businessess than those from the universities in Aarhus and Aalborg.<\/p>\n

In reality, less than one in ten students actually achieves the goal of becoming an entrepreneur, reports the ASE. To help out, the organisation recommends extending the Danish student grant and loan scheme to cover a one-year entrepreneurial sabbatical.<\/p>\n
