The Student Council at the University of Copenhagen has collected a series of suggestions from students throughout the different campuses, and from them made a seven metre long list. <\/p>\n

Wednesday, it was duly delivered to Rector Ralf Hemmingsen, who politely received them in front of central campus.<\/p>\n

The list included everything from a \u00bbnew university law\u00ab to \u00bbhigher student grants,\u00ab to more specific suggestions such as including \u00bbstudents in hiring committees,\u00ab for staff. Add to this \u00bbFree coffee\u00ab and \u00bba concert with Britney Spears\u00ab.<\/p>\n

Will talk with the deans about it<\/h2>\n

Rector Ralf Hemmingsen avoided promising too<\/em> much when he received the list.<\/p>\n

\u00bbIt is not Christmas, but I will take a good look at it,\u00ab said the head of the University, who was also asked about where the long list can be kept or displayed.<\/p>\n

\u00bbI want to present it to the deans first, who are right now waiting for me inside, and I will find an appropriate place for it later,\u00ab he said.<\/p>\n

Student Council: Listen to students<\/h2>\n

Some of the wishes on the list come as a surprise even for the Student Council.<\/p>\n

\u00bbIt has surprised me that so many students throughout the different faculties at our university have specific suggestions for improvements.\u00ab <\/p>\n

\u00bbThis could mean that there should be a more general discussion at the University of Copenhagen on how you should listen to our students,\u00ab says vice-chairman of the Student Council Maria Toft. <\/p>\n
