After Danes once again came out tops in the UN\u2019s survey of global happiness<\/a>, Denmark receives gushing praise in the British newspaper, The Guardian, reports our media partner Seven59.dk.<\/p>\n

In an article that portrays the capital as a Scandinavian Disney World, the paper highlights the high level of childcare, maternity care (including midwives who \u00bbarrive shortly after birth with a trolley of snacks adorned with ubiquitous Danish flags\u00ab), short working hours, and Danish design encompassing striking architecture.<\/p>\n

All Danes, who to most foreigners seem to suffer a national onset of winter depression from October to May, escape to Thailand in November, according to the Guardian journalist, \u00bbbut when they are at home they embrace the winter by lighting candles at every conceivable opportunity\u00ab. <\/p>\n
