The challenge is to present your thesis in no more than 15 minutes in front of the public and judges. Out of the 15 participants \u2013 one from each level of studies gets to win the big prize.<\/p>\n
It is the annual 15 minutes of Brain competition at the Faculty of Life Sciences now in its sixth year. Three proud students ended up getting their evening of glory \u2013 Louise Birkholm Hermansen (Bachelor), Frederik J. H. Nielsen (Master’s) and Nethaji J Gallage (PhD).<\/p>\n
\u00bbIt\u2019s terrific\u00ab, exclaimed Frederik to the approval of his two other companion champions. Louise explained to this reporter: \u00bbIt\u2019s difficult to explain something to someone that doesn\u2019t know the topic at all\u00ab.<\/p>\n
The three winners have good reason to smile. Not only did they have the honour of being recognised for their hard work, but they also won DKK 10,000 each.<\/p>\n
Sponsors from the world of business judge the contestants. This year, Novo, DLBR and Pro-Active Plants provided the support and judges. The prize was an extra motivation for this year\u2019s winners, they admit.<\/p>\n
\u00bbI will use it to help support myself for my Master’s studies\u00ab, explained Louise, while Frederik said he was \u00bbhoping to do an internship in a foreign country within the next year.\u00ab<\/p>\n
Nethaji is \u00bbhoping to go to the Reunion Island to pursue my research\u00ab.<\/p>\n
