","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>After gaining in 2010, the University of Copenhagen has dropped seven places to 52nd position on the QS rankings. <\/p>\n<p>This can be seen in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.topuniversities.com\/university-rankings\/world-university-rankings\/2011\" target=\"_blank\">the latest results here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The QS rankings used to be a joint partnership with the Times Higher Education rankings, until they went their separate ways before last year’s ranking.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c5rhus at 79th<\/h2>\n<p>In the QS tables, the Copenhagen maintains its status as the top Scandinavian institution.<\/p>\n<p>In Europe, the University of Copenhagen is number 14.<\/p>\n<p>Biggest Danish competitor \u00c5rhus University is 79th this time round, slightly up from 84th in 2010.<\/p>\n<h2>Good in life sciences, medicine, politics, math<\/h2>\n<p>Copenhagen’s intranet portal <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.ku.dk\/ku_en\/News\/Pages\/KU-number-52-on-QS.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">KUnet.dk (needs log-in) <\/a>has looked into the rankings in more detail.<\/p>\n<p>According to them, the University of Copenhagen is ranked high in the fields of life sciences and medicine.
