Strangely, lots of them involve dead animals.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch a lion being dissected, make a replica of a flying lizard and wander around the whale bones in the basement of the Zoological Museum, to name just a few. <\/p>\n<h2>See inside a bear<\/h2>\n<p>Every Tuesday in July, conservators at the Zoological Museum will dissect an exotic animal, and answer questions from the public. <\/p>\n<p>The demonstration takes place outside the museum at Universitetsparken 15, and is free.<\/p>\n<p>On 28 July and 27 August  the experts will dissect a lion. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zoologi.snm.ku.dk\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Click here for the Zoological Museum website.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Dinosaur teeth<\/h2>\n<p>At the Geological Museum on \u00d8ster Voldgade, you can get close to some even older bones. <\/p>\n<p>Every Saturday and Sunday, you can cast your own dinosaur teeth, shark bones and flying lizards. <\/p>\n<p>You can take your replica home with you \u2013 a great idea if you have kids. <\/p>\n<p>See the Geological Museum\u2019s website here.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/geologi.snm.ku.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Click here for the Geological Museum website.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Free tour of university gardens<\/h2>\n<p>For those of you who are not so keen on animal carcasses, there are free tours of the University Gardens in Frederiksberg every Wednesday in July and August.<\/p>\n<p>The tour starts at 1pm and the meeting point is outside the Life Science\u2019s main building at B\u00fclowsvej 17, by the fountain.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the tour lasts about an hour and 45 minutes. There is an extra part of the tour in the summer flower gardens, starting from Cafe V\u00e6ksthuset, Gr\u00f8nneg\u00e5rdsvej 15, at 3pm.<br \/>\nThere is no need to sign up in advance. <\/p>\n<h2>Barbeque at Caf\u00e9 V\u00e6ksthuset<\/h2>\n<p>Enjoy the summer evenings with a gourmet barbeque and live jazz every Friday at Caf\u00e9 V\u00e6ksthuset, Life Science and the Student Council\u2019s greenhouse caf\u00e9 on Gr\u00f8nneg\u00e5rdsvej, Frederiksberg.<\/p>\n<p>The price for food, prepared by a chef trained at some of Denmarks most exclusive restaurants, and live music, is DKK 195.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cafe.life.ku.dk\/OmCafeen.aspx%20\" target=\"_blank\">See the caf\u00e9\u2019s (Danish) website here. <\/a><a> <\/p>\n<h2>Summer with Kierkegaard<\/h2>\n<p>For those who miss sitting in a lecture hall, the Faculty of Theology will host an international Kierkegaard conference on 18 August.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for the conference is the \u2018self\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>The keynote speakers will be Professor Paul Houe from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA, and Professor Arne Gr\u00f8n from the University of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>Participation is free, and the conference will be held in English <\/p>\n<p><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skc.ku.dk\/arrangementer\/international_kierkegaard_conference\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Read more about the conference and how to sign up here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;Turks&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>On 27 August, the departmend of Arts and Cultural Studies will host an open conference on the role of Islamic culture in Early Modern European literature &#8211; From the Fall of Constantinople (1453) to the Battle of Vienna (1683).<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Turks&#8217; is an international conference exploring the impact of the Ottoman Empire on the European imaginary as it is manifested in the variety of representations of Turks and of confrontations with the Ottoman Empire in early modern European literature with a view of Western perceptions of Islam as well as articulations of European self-understading.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is open for the public and free of charge. It takes place in room 27.0.47 at KUA, at 9am<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turks.ikk.ku.dk%20\" target=\"_blank\">For further informations click here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>A bit fishy<\/h2>\n<p>The \u00d8resund Aquarim is part of the University of Copenhagen too. This is a saltwater aquarium displaying the marine life of the \u00d8resund region, including sharks and jellyfish. See the fish being fed at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 16:00. <\/p>\n<p>You have to go a bit further afield though, as it is situated in Helsing\u00f8r (Strandpromenaden 5). Strangely, lots of them involve dead animals.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch a lion being dissected, make a replica of a flying lizard and wander around the whale bones in the basement of the Zoological Museum, to name just a few. <\/p>\n<h2>See inside a bear<\/h2>\n<p>Every Tuesday in July, conservators at the Zoological Museum will dissect an exotic animal, and answer questions from the public. <\/p>\n<p>The demonstration takes place outside the museum at Universitetsparken 15, and is free.<\/p>\n<p>On 28 July and 27 August  the experts will dissect a lion. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zoologi.snm.ku.dk\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Click here for the Zoological Museum website.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Dinosaur teeth<\/h2>\n<p>At the Geological Museum on \u00d8ster Voldgade, you can get close to some even older bones. <\/p>\n<p>Every Saturday and Sunday, you can cast your own dinosaur teeth, shark bones and flying lizards. <\/p>\n<p>You can take your replica home with you \u2013 a great idea if you have kids. <\/p>\n<p>See the Geological Museum\u2019s website here.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/geologi.snm.ku.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Click here for the Geological Museum website.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Free tour of university gardens<\/h2>\n<p>For those of you who are not so keen on animal carcasses, there are free tours of the University Gardens in Frederiksberg every Wednesday in July and August.<\/p>\n<p>The tour starts at 1pm and the meeting point is outside the Life Science\u2019s main building at B\u00fclowsvej 17, by the fountain.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the tour lasts about an hour and 45 minutes. There is an extra part of the tour in the summer flower gardens, starting from Cafe V\u00e6ksthuset, Gr\u00f8nneg\u00e5rdsvej 15, at 3pm.<br \/>\nThere is no need to sign up in advance. <\/p>\n<h2>Barbeque at Caf\u00e9 V\u00e6ksthuset<\/h2>\n<p>Enjoy the summer evenings with a gourmet barbeque and live jazz every Friday at Caf\u00e9 V\u00e6ksthuset, Life Science and the Student Council\u2019s greenhouse caf\u00e9 on Gr\u00f8nneg\u00e5rdsvej, Frederiksberg.<\/p>\n<p>The price for food, prepared by a chef trained at some of Denmarks most exclusive restaurants, and live music, is DKK 195.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cafe.life.ku.dk\/OmCafeen.aspx%20\" target=\"_blank\">See the caf\u00e9\u2019s (Danish) website here. <\/a><a> <\/p>\n<h2>Summer with Kierkegaard<\/h2>\n<p>For those who miss sitting in a lecture hall, the Faculty of Theology will host an international Kierkegaard conference on 18 August.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for the conference is the \u2018self\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>The keynote speakers will be Professor Paul Houe from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA, and Professor Arne Gr\u00f8n from the University of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>Participation is free, and the conference will be held in English <\/p>\n<p><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skc.ku.dk\/arrangementer\/international_kierkegaard_conference\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Read more about the conference and how to sign up here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;Turks&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>On 27 August, the departmend of Arts and Cultural Studies will host an open conference on the role of Islamic culture in Early Modern European literature &#8211; From the Fall of Constantinople (1453) to the Battle of Vienna (1683).<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Turks&#8217; is an international conference exploring the impact of the Ottoman Empire on the European imaginary as it is manifested in the variety of representations of Turks and of confrontations with the Ottoman Empire in early modern European literature with a view of Western perceptions of Islam as well as articulations of European self-understading.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is open for the public and free of charge. It takes place in room 27.0.47 at KUA, at 9am<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turks.ikk.ku.dk%20\" target=\"_blank\">For further informations click here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>A bit fishy<\/h2>\n<p>The \u00d8resund Aquarim is part of the University of Copenhagen too. This is a saltwater aquarium displaying the marine life of the \u00d8resund region, including sharks and jellyfish. See the fish being fed at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 16:00. <\/p>\n<p>You have to go a bit further afield though, as it is situated in Helsing\u00f8r (Strandpromenaden 5).
