Elias Westergaard from the Student Council will be the new Board member at the University of Copenhagen. This is after winning what could be described as a landslide victory in the recent university elections, where he received 1,480 votes. He will replace one of the two student members, S\u00f8ren Axel Petersen, who could not seek re-election after two years in office. <\/p>\n

Frit Forum fielded three leading candidates: Aslak Schou got 63 personal votes, Niels Havndrup Kraaer got 49, and Julie Weile Larsen got 36 votes.<\/p>\n

Jacob Stendevad the top candidate for Conservative Students got 49 votes.<\/p>\n

Beat Thorvaldsen\u2019s vote count<\/h2>\n

With a personal vote count of 1,480 Elias Westergaard just surpassed Alexander Thorvaldsen, who was elected with 1,467 votes last year. Law students Gwen Gr\u00fcner-Widding still has the record with 1,731 personal student votes in 2013. <\/p>\n

This year’s turnout ended up at 15.5 per cent compared to 20 per cent last year. A total of 6,334 students voted.<\/p>\n

Victory for academic council work<\/h2>\n

Elias Westergaard welcomes the election results, which he says is a victory for the organized student work that the Student Council stands for. <\/p>\n

“We won because we are doing a real piece of work in the academic councils where we meet and discuss the problems at UCPH and try to make this university better for students,” he says.<\/p>\n

He calls on the Frit Forum and Conservative Students to seek influence through the academic councils of the individual study programmes.<\/p>\n

The following were elected: Kristian Hegaard and Rebecca Ingemann, Schedule A – United Lawyers and Morten Bordrup, list Conservative Lawyers.<\/p>\n

A total of 641 ballots were cast, of which 46 were blank. The turnout was 14.6 per cent.<\/p>\n

Copenhagen. This is after winning what could be described as a landslide victory in the recent university elections, where he received 1,480 votes. He will replace one of the two student members, S\u00f8ren Axel Petersen, who could not seek re-election after two years in office. <\/p>\n<p>Frit Forum fielded three leading candidates: Aslak Schou got 63 personal votes, Niels Havndrup Kraaer got 49, and Julie Weile Larsen got 36 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob Stendevad the top candidate for Conservative Students got 49 votes.<\/p>\n<h2>Beat Thorvaldsen\u2019s vote count<\/h2>\n<p>With a personal vote count of 1,480 Elias Westergaard just surpassed Alexander Thorvaldsen, who was elected with 1,467 votes last year. Law students Gwen Gr\u00fcner-Widding still has the record with 1,731 personal student votes in 2013. <\/p>\n<div class=\"dme-image dme-image-center dme-image-preset-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/old_files\/foto_-_valg_studenterraadet_2016_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/div>\n<p><em>President of the election statute committee Professor, Doctor of Law. Jesper Lau Hansen reads the election results. On two occasions he had to draw lots to find a 1st and 2nd substitute member.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This year’s turnout ended up at 15.5 per cent compared to 20 per cent last year. A total of 6,334 students voted.<\/p>\n<h2>Victory for academic council work<\/h2>\n<p>Elias Westergaard welcomes the election results, which he says is a victory for the organized student work that the Student Council stands for. <\/p>\n<p>“We won because we are doing a real piece of work in the academic councils where we meet and discuss the problems at UCPH and try to make this university better for students,” he says.<\/p>\n<p>He calls on the Frit Forum and Conservative Students to seek influence through the academic councils of the individual study programmes.<\/p>\n<h2>Here were the contested elections:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>UCPH Board of Directors<strong><br \/>\nStudent<br \/>\nSelecting one representative<\/p>\n<p>The following were elected: Elias Westergaard, list A1 – Student Council common list<\/p>\n<p>Substitute list A1 – Student Council common list:<br \/>\n1. The turnout was 15.5 per cent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic Council of the Faculty of Law<\/strong><br \/>\nStudent<br \/>\nSelecting 3 representatives<\/p>\n<p>The following were elected: Kristian Hegaard and Rebecca Ingemann, Schedule A – United Lawyers and Morten Bordrup, list Conservative Lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Substitute List A – United Lawyers:<br \/>\n1. Cielia Atlanta E.<br \/>\n2. Humayun Zia Choudhary<br \/>\n3. Kristian Dam Hove<\/p>\n<p>Substitute list Conservative Lawyers:<br \/>\n1. Charlotte Gerdrup Torp-Hansen<br \/>\n2. The turnout was 14.6 per cent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic Council of Social Sciences<\/strong><br \/>\nStudent<br \/>\nSelecting 3 representatives<\/p>\n<p>The following were elected: Astrid Busch, Daniel Nordstrand Frantzen and Mike Gudbergsen, all Schedule A – Faculty of Social Sciences Council.<\/p>\n<p>Substitute List A – Faculty of Social Sciences Council:<br \/>\n1. Amanda Frees<br \/>\n2. Nanna Ploug Kollerup<\/p>\n<p>A total of 1,600 votes were cast, of which 93 were blank. The turnout was 23.7 per cent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Departmental on Saxo Institute<\/strong><br \/>\nStudent<br \/>\nRepresenting Archaeology<br \/>\nSelecting one representative<\/p>\n<p>The following were elected: Joos Melander, List A – Classical Archaeology. <\/p>\n<p>Substitute: Agnes Klara Ingad\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 52 votes were cast, including 1 blank.
