Meeting people<\/h2>\n

You can meet fellow students at the university bar Studenterhuset<\/a>, and at ‘fredagsbar’, the Friday-bars that take place at the university departments and faculties on Friday evenings: very cheap and student-run.<\/p>\n

Here at the beginning of the semester, there’s also a chance to get to know everyone on your course with the (in)famous rustur<\/em>. Rustur is Danish for Frosh, SOAR, Freshers and Orientation, etc. So what happens during the rustur?<\/p>\n

SU – the study grant<\/h2>\n

SU is a monthly student grant of DKK 5.900 available to all Danish students. A couple of years ago, it was made available to students from the EU and EEA too. To qualify, you must work 10 to 12 hours a week and be studying at a Danish university for a full degree (that is, not through an exchange programme).<\/p>\n
