","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>The prospect of Donald Trump becoming the next US president is \u2018frightening\u2019, leading Danish politicians told the left-wing daily newspaper Information, writes seven59.dk<\/p>\n<p>The Danish People\u2019s Party\u2019s foreign affairs spokesman, S\u00f8ren Espersen, said it\u2019s \u2018ridiculous\u2019 that a man who\u2019s said all Muslims should be denied entry to the USA has a chance of winning the White House, while ex-foreign minister Holger K. Nielsen dismissed the billionaire as a \u2018rabid populist\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he becomes president it would be a catastrophe. He\u2019s an avowed admirer of Vladimir Putin and it would be a disaster for international politics if Trump gets anywhere near the nuclear button,\u201d Mr Nielsen said.<\/p>\n<h2>Anybody but Trump<\/h2>\n<p>Another former foreign minister, the Social Liberals\u2019 Martin Lidegaard who six months ago wrote off Mr Trump\u2019s chances of becoming president, now says he isn\u2019t so sure. He said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the world we live in right now we need prudency and leaders with an international outlook. Trump isn\u2019t a bridge builder, he\u2019s a divider.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ruling Liberals\u2019 foreign affairs spokesman, Michael Aastrup Jensen, expressed hope for \u2018anybody but Trump\u2019: \u201cIt\u2019s frightening to see him ahead in the polls.
