Denmark is only the 10th best country in the world, a new survey shows, writes seven59.dk and washingtonpost.com.

Although Denmark is regularly ranked \u2018happiest nation\u2019 or \u2018best place to live\u2019 in global surveys, its southern neighbor, Germany, is number 1 on the inaugural \u201cBest Countries\u201d ranking from U.S. News & World Report, the University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Wharton School and global brand consultants BAV Consulting, officially unveiled at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last week.<\/p>\n

The Rankings<\/h2>\n

Canada is number two, followed by the UK, USA, and Sweden \u2013 Australia, Japan, France, and the Netherlands are also ahead of Denmark.
\nThe new project ranks 60 countries across 24 categories and is based on a survey of more than 16,000 people.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg the best place for opening a business<\/h2>\n

The United States ranked first in power and influence. Sweden scored the most top spots, ranking first for being the best country for citizenship, raising kids and green living. Other top rankings include Brazil for adventure; Luxembourg for opening a business; France for cultural influence; Germany for entrepreneurship; Canada for quality of life; Italy for heritage; and India for its up-and-coming economy. In the end, Germany scored highest overall.
