that there all available Board seats have been contested. University elections traditionally attract dismal turnouts, due to the fact that not all seats are contested, and many of the outcomes have been squared off beforehand.<\/p>\n<p>Election participation covers over large differences between voter groups. <\/p>\n<p>Technical administrative personnel (TAP) had a turnout of 42.6 to the Board election, while 28.9 per cent of the scientific and research personnel in the VIP category voted. 20 per cent of students voted. <\/p>\n<h2>Students up 4.5 percentage points<\/h2>\n<p>It is the first time there is a contested election for the TAP board seat since 2004. Among VIP’s the duel between high profiled scientists Anja C. Andersen, Peter Harder, Eske Willerslev and Dorthe Dahl-Jensen attracted interest. <\/p>\n<p>Students’ voting percentages were the highest since 2002 \u2013 and an increase of 4,5 percentage points compared to last year. <\/p>\n<div class=\"dme-image dme-image-center dme-image-preset-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/old_files\/stemmeprocent_0.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/div>\n<p><em>Voting percentage (turnout) among students and staff in University of Copenhagen elections<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The university results with winners and losers will be released at 14:00.<\/p>\n<p>universitypost@adm.ku.dk<\/p>\n<p><em>Do you have a good story?
