Seek shelter against the impending storm
\nAs education is hit, and economics us inform
\nSays the dean, addressing the assembly
\nThis we honour, but our pockets grow empty.<\/p>\n
“Reduction is the common currency of our future,”
\nBut the present fate is hanging by just one suture.
\nTrying to uphold an autonomous nation
\nFrom archiving a humanities dehydration. <\/p>\n
The current situation calls for reduction,
\nUnless “political winds” encounter reconstruction.
\n“The future we meet with clear communication,”
\nYet, it\u2019s hard to think straight, if filled with frustration. <\/p>\n
The students receive the promise of famine
\nAnd it will take a hold of professor, student and admin.
\n“Quality, quantity and competition will suffer,”
\nAs education loses its economical buffer. <\/p>\n
The student council calls for action.
\nThey want to make unity an attraction.
\n“Knowledge is how we survive,”
\nIf society is not to take a dive.<\/p>\n
Chairman Laura tells her personal story,
\nOf how it began with hope and not worry.
\nToday her story rings a different chime
\nWith hopes to finish in limited time.<\/p>\n
There were no answers to what you can do.
\nTo stop your future from plummeting through.
\nJust provide a “like” and march the day,
\nOn Thursday, and deliver us from decay.<\/p>\n
“The demonstration has historical support”,
\nThirty six organisations are all aboard.
\nThey want to show that we’ll be starving
\nAnd that humanists are not spoilt darlings. <\/p>\n
