Be cautious of that perspiring hand
\nIt comes with vocation and tough demand
\nThat you now walk yonder into great planes
\nOf knowledge and solitude <\/p>\n

Your sweaty palm will linger in memory
\nYet, the nervous smile you soon will burry
\nToday new flowers spring in the thousands
\nIn a week you will be old<\/p>\n

Bewilderment is the constant
\nIn this immaculate introduction
\nWhich is governed by embarrassment
\nAnd collective turmoil<\/p>\n

Muffled voices blinds your hearing
\nSlowly the concentration is disappearing
\nThe words they speak leaves no impression
\nIn a while it will be done<\/p>\n

In the days to come your fright will turn
\nIt will fester in the reality and you learn
\nThat the handshake was a formality
\nIt is what your do next, which matters<\/p>\n

So be cautious of that perspiring hand
\nIt comes with passion and tough demand
\nTo what goal you set for yourself
\nThe future is new<\/p>\n
