Friday 28 August at 15.00, and Rector and Prorector will be welcoming new students at the University of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

The official part of the event will feature a welcome speech by Rector Ralf Hemmingsen and musical performances.<\/p>\n

The event is expected to last about half an hour and after that, all newly matriculated students will get the chance to shake hands with the rector, pass through the Ceremonial Hall, and head out into the Lindeg\u00e5rden courtyard.<\/p>\n

Studenterhuset to throw a big party after Matriculation ceremony<\/a> <\/div>\n

After party<\/h2>\n

In the courtyard, new students can enjoy beers and hotdogs, before heading over to a matriculation party<\/a> at Studenterhuset, with music, beer and, as something new, chill-out areas.<\/p>\n

In 2013, university management decided to merge the matriculation ceremonies<\/a> that had previously been separate for Danish and international students.<\/p>\n
