It is a huge sport event, and a big social event at the University of Copenhagen. It is the DHL relay race<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2015, the University of Copenhagen has more than two thousand runners on their different teams, but they are also represented as individuals on hundreds of other corporate teams and club teams. For the second year running, four other higher education institutions in Copenhagen will be battling it out with the University of Copenhagen for a special ‘university trophy’<\/a>. <\/p>\n

A trophy that the University of Copenhagen won in 2014 with a team from the Faculty of Health and Medicine ‘Medicin X01’ in the time of 1:43:52<\/a>, just over 20 minutes average for each runner through the twisty, smoky, packed course.<\/p>\n

The smoky course was actually the object of a 2014 study which proved that the last kilometres past the spectators barbecue smoke contains a particle density as the main platform on N\u00f8rreport station<\/a>. Anecdotal evidence has it however that rain makes the smoky conditions worse. The 2015 event looks to be nice and sunny.<\/p>\n

UCPH will be racing green<\/h2>\n

The University of Copenhagen has in previous DHL years had wine-red, pea-green and Italy-soccer blue T-shirts. In 2014, UCPH opted for life-jacket-orange. In 2015 UCPH is going with a light variant of racing green.<\/p>\n

The University of Copenhagen has several big tents in the F\u00e6lledparken venue where the event takes place. The race starts at 18:00 and is a relay race, and runners run with a baton which they hand over to the next runner in a large, transition zone. <\/p>\n

The University Post will be reporting from the event, and publishing thousands of pictures on our website and facebook from Monday onwards.<\/p>\n

For the second year running, four other higher education institutions in Copenhagen will be battling it out <a href=\"http:\/\/universitypost.dk\/article\/dhl-fun-run-turn-vicious-five-universities-compete-new-trophy\" target=\"_blank\">with the University of Copenhagen for a special ‘university trophy’<\/a>. <\/p>\n<div class=\"dme-external-teaser dme-external-teaser-3\">\n<div class=\"image\">\n<div class=\"dme-image dme-image-center dme-image-preset-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/universitetsavisen.dk\/node\/26093\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/old_files\/smokydhl2cropped.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"title\">\n<div class=\"label\">L\u00e6s mere:<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/universitetsavisen.dk\/node\/26093\">This smoke is dangerous: Barbecues at DHL race worse than diesel fumes<\/a> <\/div>\n<div class=\"teaser_text\">\n <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A trophy that the University of Copenhagen won in 2014 with <a href=\"http:\/\/universitypost.dk\/article\/we-won-ucph-sprints-victory-dhls-first-university-race\" target=\"_blank\">a team from the Faculty of Health and Medicine ‘Medicin X01’ in the time of 1:43:52<\/a>, just over 20 minutes average for each runner through the twisty, smoky, packed course.<\/p>\n<p>The smoky course was actually the object of a 2014 study which proved that the last kilometres past the spectators barbecue smoke contains a <a href=\"http:\/\/universitypost.dk\/article\/smoke-dangerous-barbecues-dhl-race-worse-diesel-fumes\" target=\"_blank\">particle density as the main platform on N\u00f8rreport station<\/a>. Anecdotal evidence has it however that rain makes the smoky conditions worse. In 2014, UCPH opted for life-jacket-orange. In 2015 UCPH is going with a light variant of racing green.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Copenhagen has several big tents in the F\u00e6lledparken venue where the event takes place.
