DPP wants to force stricter hiring rules for EU nationals in Denmark","use_post_excerpt":false},{"acf_fc_layout":"Byline","is_author":false,"contributors":[{"use_registered_user":false,"user":false,"contributor_name":"University Post newsroom","contributor_title":" ","contributor_image":false}]},{"acf_fc_layout":"Content","content":"<p>The Danish People\u2019s party has challenged the EU principle of free movement of labour by proposing that Danish companies should be required to provide proof they\u2019ve been unable to hire a Dane before hiring an EU national, according to Seven59.dk.<\/p>\n<p>Although EU law expert Peder Nedergaard of the University of Copenhagen dismissed the proposal as \u2018completely unrealistic\u2019 and a violation of EU legislation, the party\u2019s integration spokesman, Martin Henriksen, said \u2018rules aren\u2019t set in stone\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>”We\u2019d be living in boring society if we couldn\u2019t change the rules now and again.
