Copenhagen has moved up two places and now ranks as number 8 on the Economist Intelligence Unit\u2019s 2015 list of the world\u2019s most expensive cities <\/a>, reports seven59.dk. Singapore retains the top spot for the second year running as the top-5 remain unchanged: Paris is ranked second, followed by Oslo, Zurich and Sydney.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year another study by Numeo <\/a> ranked it as the 5th most expensive city in the world <\/p>\n

In the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) report, Melbourne comes in at number 6, with Geveva, Hong Kong and Seoul rounding out the top ten. 2015 marks the debut of South Korea\u2019s capital on the list as its cost of living now matches that of Hong Kong. Seoul was found to be the most expensive place in the world for clothes, \u201cwith prices 50% higher than New York.\u201d<\/p>\n

The EIU\u2019s survey comprises 133 cities worldwide and uses New York as a base. It compares the cost of more than 160 services and products including food, clothing and utility bills.<\/p>\n

The information is designed to be used online as a way to calculate the cost of relocating and living for expatriates and business travellers.<\/p>\n
