It is a three-day congress at the University of Copenhagen and draws 140 speakers across disciplines to discuss research collaboration on climate and sustainability challenges. The Sustainability Science Congress organized by the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), has so far has presentations by the Danish Prime Minister, the EU Climate Commissioner and a host of other big sustainability names.<\/p>\n
In the Radisson Blu Falconer Hotel & Conference Center, there is a captive audience of researchers, policy-makers and interest groups, all tweeting about the event on the hashtag #IARU2014. The tweets that we have selected give an overview of the first day’s happenings. <\/p>\n

The Sustainability Science Congress organized by the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), has so far has presentations by the Danish Prime Minister, the EU Climate Commissioner and a host of other big sustainability names.<\/p>\n<p>In the Radisson Blu Falconer Hotel & Conference Center, there is a captive audience of researchers, policy-makers and interest groups, all tweeting about the event on the hashtag #IARU2014.
