A couple of weeks ago, Neofytos Mangouras, started a full degree programme in the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Last weekend he went back to his home country Greece, and took home a national championship in the cycling 4000m team pursuit.<\/p>\n

“It is my eighth national title,” he reminds the University Post, after previously winning the team pursuit, the scratch race, and the individual pursuit. He is a professional cyclist on the SP tableware team, a team that is racing on the continental level of professional races.<\/p>\n

Neofytos Mangouras’ specialty is the lung-bursting race against the clock, both on the indoor track and on the road. “On the road, I am best at the time trial discipline,” he says.<\/p>\n

Law workload may affect his form<\/h2>\n

Neofytos has already been to Denmark before, once to take part in the World Championships road race in the under-23 category.<\/p>\n

Back in Copenhagen, Neofytos is now trying to determine how his law workload will affect his cycling. “Riding is addictive, and I have brought up one of my road bikes, and I am keeping up the training,” he says.<\/p>\n

But “as they say in Greece, you can’t carry two water melons in one hand!”<\/p>\n
