In a previously published guide to Copenhagen neighbourhoods (with some of the interviews included here, but not all the pictures) we presented an overview of all the Copenhagen city areas<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now we focus more on each of the local areas, and with more tips from the locals.<\/p>\n

North of Frederiksberg lies N\u00f8rrebro. The neighbourhood lies around N\u00f8rrebrogade, a street famous for its broad biking lanes. This is one of the most multicultural parts of Copenhagen, known for Shawarma joints, halal butchers, and Middle Eastern grocery shops. It is also one of the younger areas, and inhabited by many students.<\/p>\n

Worn but beatiful<\/h2>\n

Before the recent gentrification, the neighbourhood was known as one of the more rough areas, especially in areas like Bl\u00e5g\u00e5rden, Mj\u00f8lnerparken and Aldersrogade; however, recent development and cheap prices have made N\u00f8rrebro a popular place for new hip shops and businesses to open.<\/p>\n

Local 24 year old English student, Anni, explains that areas like Sankt Hans Torv and J\u00e6gersborggade are becoming increasingly popular.<\/p>\n

”N\u00f8rrebro is worn and covered in graffiti, but it is also very beautiful, for example the Assistens Cemetery. The street scene, shopwise, pretty much reflects the types who live here. Besides that, some of the most famous restaurants in N\u00f8rrebro are Kiin Kiin and Rel\u00e6, which both have a michelin star. Personally, it is difficult to pick my favorite place, but it is probably Rub\u00e6ks B\u00f8ger, a small book store on J\u00e6gersborggade that also serves beer and coffee.”<\/p>\n

This neighborhood has another UCPH campus, known as North Campus<\/a>, which houses areas of the Health and Medical Sciences and of the Science Faculty.<\/p>\n

University Post reader Ashley says ‘that ‘ Kate’s Joint at Bl\u00e5gardsgade 12 has amazing vegetarian\/vegan selections. Very student-friendly prices and great portions.”<\/p>\n

Another reader, Nadia, says that N\u00f8rrebro Bryghus has ”amazing beer and great food”, and that Ahaa Arabiske Madhus is ”a good place for a cheap meal”.<\/p>\n

It is also one of the younger areas, and inhabited by many students.<\/p>\n<p>See an overview of <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/uniavisen.dk\/en\/guide-to-copenhagen-city-areas-and-neighbourhoods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all the Copenhagen neighbourhoods here. <\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Worn but beatiful<\/h2>\n<p>Before the recent gentrification, the neighbourhood was known as one of the more rough areas, especially in areas like Bl\u00e5g\u00e5rden, Mj\u00f8lnerparken and Aldersrogade; however, recent development and cheap prices have made N\u00f8rrebro a popular place for new hip shops and businesses to open.<\/p>\n<p>Local 24 year old English student, Anni, explains that areas like Sankt Hans Torv and J\u00e6gersborggade are becoming increasingly popular.<\/p>\n<p>”N\u00f8rrebro is worn and covered in graffiti, but it is also very beautiful, for example the Assistens Cemetery. The street scene, shopwise, pretty much reflects the types who live here. Besides that, some of the most famous restaurants in N\u00f8rrebro are Kiin Kiin and Rel\u00e6, which both have a michelin star. Personally, it is difficult to pick my favorite place, but it is probably Rub\u00e6ks B\u00f8ger, a small book store on J\u00e6gersborggade that also serves beer and coffee.”<\/p>\n<p>This neighborhood has another UCPH campus, known as <a href=\"http:\/\/cas.ku.dk\/english\/map\/north_campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Campus<\/a>, which houses areas of the Health and Medical Sciences and of the Science Faculty.<\/p>\n<h2>What’s your local secret?<\/h2>\n<p>University Post reader Ashley says ‘that ‘ Kate’s Joint at Bl\u00e5gardsgade 12 has amazing vegetarian\/vegan selections.
