Why has some knowledge been held secret, rejected, forbidden or claimed to be higher than other forms of knowledge? Kocku von Stuckrad visits the Univeristy of Copenhagen to give a guest lecture about such questions and about the central, yet largely overlooked, traditions, forms of knowledge and knowledge claims that have been a colorful part of European culture. Von Stuckrad’s lecture is a part of the opening reception for the Copenhagen Center for the Study of Theosophy and Esotericism directed by Tim Rudbøg.

In addition to von Stuckrad’s guest lecture there will be a presentation of the activities of the center by Tim Rudbøg and a speech by prodekan Jens Erik Mogensen. There will also be served drinks and tapas to celebrate these new developments in teaching and research at the University of Copenhagen

The reception and guest lecture will take place at the Institute for Cross Cultural and Regional Studies, KUA2 on Tuesday, March 21st at 14.00 in the lunch room on the third floor of Building 10.
