Abstract
Blockchain gained much popularity due to the growing interest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, the potential of blockchain technology is not limited to cryptocurrencies via the utilities of smart contracts. Some believe it has the potential to revolutionise the world just like the internet did. We will explore new developments in the area of blockchain including how big corporate can utilise this technology to solve main pain points. We will discuss case studies from the finance sector and the innovation around Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) from a variety of startups around the world.
