Student bands will fight it out to the last note at the Faculty of Life Sciences. If you have a band, you can join
If you have a band, it is now time to review your repertoire and tune your strings, keys and turntables.
29 April will see the annual battle of the bands at the Faculty of Life Sciences, inspired by Melodi Grand Prix (MGP), or the Eurovision Song Contest concept. Bands will play from 22.00 to 02.00 for 20-30 minutes each and the audience chooses the one they like the most.
All bands are welcome, the only conditions are the following: One person in the band has to either student or staff at the University of Copenhagen. You have to be able to play for at least 15 minutes. You bring your own instruments, except drums. You have got to be able to go on and off stage quickly.
The party is open for everyone.
The winner will get to jazz up the stage at the next Life Sciences party in September, with an audience of about 900 people.
As a band, the deadline is on 17 April. If you want to sign up for the competition, contact Benedikte on bcjt@dsr.life.ku.dk.
