What does it mean to be a refugee and unaccompanied minor in Denmark? Why do some refugee children and adolescents choose to hide from the authorities, and what kind of life awaits them in Denmark and Europe? Filmmaker Michael Graversen has followed the unaccompanied minor Wasiullah for more than three years. Wasiullah is one of the young refugees who has disappeared from a Danish asylum center. At this AMIS Culture Club event, we will watch “Dreaming of Denmark” and Graversen will reflect on his engagement with the young refugees and the process of making the film.
Graversen graduated documentary director from the National Film and Television School in the UK and holds a BA in Film and Media Studies and Psychology from Copenhagen University.
