About the thesis
The PhD thesis focused on type 2 diabetes and investigated the effect of high-intensity interval training at maximal intensity on health parameters and skeletal muscle adaptations in T2D patients.

Furthermore, the effect of manipulation of ion handling and antioxidant defense system on exercise capacity in insulin resistant and healthy subjects was examined and lastly, the effect of inhalation of asthma medicine (terbutaline) on whole-body insulin sensitivity was assessed in healthy men.
