Discussion about the film
During the night of September 26th-27th 2014, a group of students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teaching School were chased, shot and dispersed in several scenarios of Iguala, Guerrero and the surrounding areas. Six people died, one is brain dead and 43 are missing. The attackers were members of the local police, who acted under the surveillance of Mexican government and army agents.
The investigation of this crime is known for its many deficiencies, and it has been directed to hide any participation of the highest levels of government. It seems that someone is trying to protect the army, even though there are traces which indicate that the soldiers have historically been involved with acts of political repression and the disappearance of citizens, as well as with structures of protection of the organized crime.
