IT support now offered on evenings, nights, weekends

The on-call scheme is designed specifically to benefit academic staff, but members of technical and administrative staff and students are also welcome to use the service, writes

“Researchers and lecturers often work at odd times of the day, and many of them are very active users of UCPH’s IT systems. University IT and Service Desk want to make sure that academic staff are able to rely – at any time – on technical assistance with the University IT’s systems, as well as with the hardware and software we supply and install,” says Pernille Berg, group leader for Service Desk.

New pilot project

The on-call scheme is part of a three-month pilot project that will assess the need to extend Service Desk’s current opening hours.

If there turns out to be demand for 24/7 Support, which it is called, University IT and their service desk will offer it as a regular service.
