VICE Magazine Launch
Where: Sunday Club, Lille Kongensgade 16, Cph K
When: Friday 13th 21:00
What: VICE Copenhagen launches their latest magazine, offering a bunch of free drinks and food.

Music

Singer-songwriter evening
Where: Candy Factory, Lærkevej 11, Cph N
When: Friday 13th, 19:00 – 03:00
What: The time has come for another Singer-Songwriter night at Lærkevej. The evening will be a mix of repeats and new faces from Nørrebro to Finland, France, UK and USA. A bar will serve cheap beer, chai tea and cake.

Exhibition Openings

Hunger for Aggression & Toot Toot Tootsie Goodbye
Where: V1 Gallery, Flæsketorvet 69, Cph V
When: Friday 13th 17:00- 22:00
What: V1 Gallery located in the Meatpacking district opens two new art exhibitions exploring the perils of the far right extremists both past and present. Cheap bar, great people watching and a nice way to start the night before heading to Jolene’s or Karriere bar next door.

Festival

NOT Festival
Where: Statens Scenekunstskolen, Philip De Langes Allé, Cph K + PB43, Prags Boulevard 43, Cph S
When: Monday 16th – 21st
What: Almost a week of workshops, experimentation, conversations and daily performances exploring artistic freedom. Free events include the panel discussions on topics such as Women, Generation and Location.

Sporting Events

Friday Night Skate
Where: Solbjerg Plads, Frederiksberg
When: Friday 13th Start 20:00 – 22:00 (Be sure to arrive 20 minutes early to register)
What: Friday Night Skate is a night of rambunctious rollerskating where you can join up to 1500 other skaters in a large field out in the middle of the roadway.

Markets

LOFT Bazaaren
Where: Prags Boulevard 43
When: Saturday and Sunday 10:00 – 17:00
What: Over 40 interior, graphic, art, jewellery and fashion designers will gather under the one roof this weekend. This one slightly stretches the definition of ‘free’, but with just 25 kroner entry fee, you’re basically getting designer deals for a steal!

Miscellaneous Delights

Creativity Gym
Where: Republikkens Café, Vesterbrogade 26
When: Tuesday 17th 17:00 – 19:00
What: Creativity Gym is a monthly workout for your brain. Enjoy a beer and and practice the skill of creativity with a one-hour workout for that wonderful mind of yours. Also gives you a great chance to mingle with other creative folk.

Bar of the week

Francis Pony
Where: Klosterstræde 23, Cph K
When: Happy hour: Double up on cocktails Thursday to Saturday until midnight, Wednesdays til late
What: Great place to start off the night with 2-for-1 cocktail specials, friendly bar staff and as the owner of the bar puts it, “”Most places are either too posh or too much of a nightclub… We’re a good mix – call us a festive cocktail bar.”
