This critically acclaimed documentary follows Rafael Larraenza, who has spent over 25 years searching for and rescuing people lost while crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Forty years after making the journey himself, he returned to the desert to save others. Despite physical decline, opposition, and limited resources, he remains determined. When a mother from El Salvador asks for help finding her son, Rafael races against time. ‘Desert Angel’ reveals the human cost of migration and the compassion of one man who refuses to look away.
