Bear dissection at Copenhagen Zoological Museum

The public got a look at the insides of a 120kg brown bear yesterday Tuesday. See our photo story

Taxidermists at the University of Copenhagen Zoological Museum dissected a brown bear yesterday Tuesday, as part of the museum’s summer programme of Natural Treasures. The bear was donated by a zoo, and will be part of the museum’s permanent collection.

Every Tuesday in July, the taxidermists will dissect an exotic animal, and answer questions from the public. The demonstration takes place outside the museum at Universitetsparken 15, and is free.

On 13 and 28 July as well as on 27 August they will dissect a lion, and on 20 July, a kangaroo.

See our photo story from the dissection here. (Beware! Not for the faint of heart…)
