Best University of Copenhagen photos of 2015

A new year, deep winter, and it is time to reminisce about other brighter, warmer times of the year in beautiful Copenhagen and at our favourite university. We have collected our readers’ instagram shots from 2015. So browse the gallery below for our selection of the best!

One of them is the picture above by @sifbjacobsen who by the simple tactic of flipping the photo, achieves the estrangement of seeing things in a new way. At first you don’t realise that the canal is the sky, and the sky is the canal. Simple, serene and aesthetic.

Special mention also goes to @dittemariehulgard who captured a typical rustur Danish freshers intro moment. At first sight you are drawn in by the acrobatic escapades of the ‘gymnast’ in the foreground, then you see she is holding the beer, then you see that the ‘bar’ is a string of underwear. It inadvertently captures the Danish young people’s drinking culture, transgressive and uncomfortable at the same time.

So this is what a horse looks like inside! @amalielohselind is doing some veterinary science, and her instructor’s horse and dog are patient models for her class in anatomy.
