Copenhagen is 45th in the world on QS ranking

UCPH maintains its high ranking on the QS, with exactly the same spot as last year. MIT, Cambridge and Imperial College London get the top ranks

The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is the 45th best university in the world. This is according to QS, one of four benchmark rankings used by the University of Copenhagen management to gauge its performance.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology keeps its top spot, and so does the University of Cambridge in second. The big surprise is Imperial College London, that ousts Harvard for third place.

Most rankings tend to favour Anglo-American institutions and the QS is no exception this year.

Fifth on the continent

The first non-Anglo-American university is ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) at 12th. Among continental European universities, the University of Copenhagen is fifth.

Copenhagen’s Danish colleagues in Aarhus University achieved a 96th place, while Technical University of Denmark DTU got a 123rd ranking.
