Have you ever asked yourself about how may we think about approaching our ‘field’ and our ‘data’ as qualitative researchers differently? Have you ever had the sense that simply coding your data feels reductionist, even with your best efforts at bringing participant voices to light? Have you heard of methods such as diffractive analysis but do not know where to start with them? This seminar is directed at researchers and PhD students using qualitative methods who would like to extend their methods knowledge into ‘post-qualitative’ methods. Together, we will discuss about the underlying epistemology and explore a few of these methods through hands-on examples. No ‘data’ required- only an open mind and a curiosity to go beyond coding!
