Faculty of Health Sciences scores DKK 600 million

Health Sciences wins a massive DKK 600 million to the new Panum building, writes KUnet. Donation is from the non-profit foundation of shipping and oil conglomerate A. P. Moeller - Maersk

The Faculty of Health Sciences has just received a whopping DKK 600 million to its new Panum building. This is according to the University of Copenhagen’s intranet KUnet and a press release. The donation is from a non-profit foundation, A. P. Møller and wife Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller, owners of the large Danish shipping and oil conglomerate A. P. Moeller – Maersk.

The fund donation goes to the construction of the new Panum-complex. Panum is the home of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is to be extended with a further 35,000 square metres.

Half of the construction sum of the building on the Blegdamsvej address will be from the fund. The donation is the largest since the fund donated the landmark Copenhagen opera house Operaen.
