Johan and Hans Uldall Fynbo both do research on the universe as professors of astrophysics at different universities. Their life trajectories have followed each other closely. But at one point they each took a different path: One believes in God, the other does not.
The renowned geology professor Hans Thybo was fired in November 2016 from the University of Copenhagen. One year later, the two sides settled in a court of arbitration. Now Thybo presents his version of the most controversial personnel case in recent years. University management has not wished to comment on this story.
One year after the University of Copenhagen dismissed Professor Hans Thybo, the case is now closed after arbitration has assessed that UCPH fired Hans Thybo in violation of labour agreements.
The dispute over sacked professor Hans Thybo has not yet been resolved. But in the meantime, according to Norwegian media På Høyden, Thybo is in the running for a department management job at the University of Bergen
