Professor Eske Willerslev is moving to Cambridge, with 80 per cent of his employment at the British university from now on. He steps down from the University of Copenhagen’s governing board.
A new prorector position is to help the University of Copenhagen identify and hire the best international scientists, both for research and management positions, says professor and board member Jesper Grodal. He calls it a key position at the university.
Both researcher seats on the University of Copenhagen board went to candidates from the 'Involve the researchers!' list. The Student Council’s Olivia Boesen won the students' mandate, while Dorte Brix was elected by the technical and administrative staff.
»It feels like the decision-makers don’t know what they’re doing,« says Eske Willerslev and Jesper Grodal. They are running for seats on the board of The University of Copenhagen for more co-determination.
