USG football championships 2012, the photos

After a tough championship round against teams from the whole University of Copenhagen (UCPH), the three best teams represent the departments of Anthropology, Political Sciences and Odontology. Taking third place the team from Anthropology left the finals, which was in turn settled between the team ‘Top of Society’ from Political Sciences and the Odontology department team.

Clad in white and blue respectively the two teams showed off their soccer skills in an intense match which only got settled in extra time.

USG Football Championships takes place each year during spring and all faculties can participate. This year, after two goals scored in extra time, team ‘Top of Society’ ran off with the trophy in a two-nil victory.

The team from Political Sciences have thereby repeated their football success from last year’s USG University Football Tournament, which they also won. After the match the players, exhilarated, told our photographer that they did not regret missing the opener of the EURO 2012. This match was much more important to them, they said.
