When in Denmark, jule as the Danes do

Christmas party for life science students brings holiday cheer – and embarrassment – to international students

Danes aren’t the only ones dancing around the Christmas tree and singing Yule tide tunes this time of year. Tuesday, 7 December, the Faculty of Life Sciences gathered its full-degree international students for a traditional Christmas party, complete with æbleskriver, glögg and gifts.

Though many were reluctant to perform the ultimate Danish rite of passage – holding hands in a circle around the Christmas tree singing carols – the Christmas spirit took hold by the end of the evening. A little glögg can sure make miracles happen.
