Talk

What happens next: how will we really respond to climate change?

Talk — Join us on 30 April for a thought-provoking lecture with George Marshall, one of Europe’s leading voices in climate communication. As science outlines the physical impacts of climate change, Marshall dives into the psychological and social dimensions: Will we adapt, unite, or fall apart? Through insights from psychology, history, and storytelling, he explores how our responses today shape the world of tomorrow. The lecture will be followed by an open discussion, moderated by Professor Katherine Richardson.

Lecture with George Marshall
Science now has a good understanding of what climate change will bring in 2050. But we have far less idea of how it will affect the way we think and feel. Will we collaborate, cope, compete, or collapse? The future of humanity depends on this critical question.

Join us on 30 April, when University of Copenhagen and Actory has the pleasure of welcoming George Marshall, one of Europe’s leading experts in public engagement. Drawing on historical precedent, cognitive and social psychology and narrative theory, George Marshall’s pioneering analysis maps future outcomes and the ways we can draw on our most constructive instincts.

The lecture is followed by an open discussion moderated by Professor Katherine Richardson.
